MASTER KEY SYSTEMS
A simple way to manage access.
Entra Works designs and supplies master key systems for commercial properties, allowing different users to access only the doors they are authorised to enter, while designated personnel can use a single master key across multiple areas.
We can configure a key hierarchy around how your building operates.
How does a master key system work?
Instead of every lock operating independently, locks are configured into a planned access hierarchy.
Each person is issued a key according to the areas they need to access.

Don't let your keys be copied without your knowledge.
Choose a patented key system.
A normal key can potentially be copied without you knowing. A patented key gives you much greater control over who is allowed to make another copy,
as additional keys can only be produced through authorised channels, helping to prevent employees, contractors or other users from making unauthorised copies.
A simple example:
Imagine an office with 20 doors.
With a master key system, each person gets the right access without holding multiple sets of keys.
Plan a master key system for your property
Tell us about your property, the number of doors and the different groups of people who require access. We'll help map out who needs access to where.
-
In many cases, yes, depending on the existing locks and cylinders. We can assess your current setup and advise whether the existing hardware can be adapted or if certain components need to be replaced.
-
Because a master key may provide access to multiple doors, a lost master key should be addressed promptly. We can assess the affected system and recommend the appropriate next steps based on its configuration.
-
A master key system can be planned with future expansion in mind. If you expect to add offices, departments or additional doors later, let us know during the planning stage.
-
Standard keys may be easier to duplicate. If controlling unauthorised duplication is important, we can provide a patented key system, where additional keys are produced through authorised channels.
-
This depends on the system selected and the complexity of the required access hierarchy. We can recommend an appropriate system based on your number of doors, users and access levels.
-
Master key systems are especially useful for properties with many doors, different users and different access requirements. We’ve supported projects ranging from MRT facilities to BTO developments, helping organise large numbers of locks and keys into structured systems so authorised personnel can access the areas they need without managing individual keys for every door.
They are commonly suitable for commercial buildings, residential developments, transport facilities, schools, healthcare facilities, hotels, offices and industrial properties.
